Solana Mobile announces SKR token airdrop for Seeker smartphone users
Solana Mobile, a subsidiary of Solana Labs, has launched a token airdrop for users of its Web3 smartphone, Solana Seeker, expanding incentives within its mobile blockchain ecosystem.
The SKR token—designed as the utility and governance asset of the Solana Mobile platform—went live on Wednesday, the company announced in a post on X.
Owners of the Solana Seeker smartphone have 90 days to claim their airdropped SKR tokens. Once claimed, the tokens can be staked to earn additional rewards, according to the company.
The airdrop targets at least 100,000 users and 188 developers. Nearly 2 billion SKR tokens were distributed to the community at launch, with a total value of approximately $26.6 million at the time of publication.
What is Solana Seeker and the SKR token?
Launched in August 2025, Solana Seeker is an Android-based smartphone developed by Solana Mobile. It is the successor to Solana Saga, the company’s first device, which debuted in 2022.
The Seeker is purpose-built for crypto users, featuring a dedicated decentralized application (dApp) store and native integration with the Solana ecosystem. The device is designed to support SKR, which powers governance decisions and reward mechanisms across the Solana Mobile platform.
SKR is the native token of the Solana Mobile ecosystem and has a fixed total supply of 10 billion tokens. It is issued as a Solana Program Library (SPL) token, the standard used for creating and managing digital assets on the Solana blockchain.
